Explanation of Benefits: In addition to general medical care provides specialized treatment programs for posttraumatic
stress disorder, anxiety disorders, psychiatric day treatment and inpatient units. Medical Social Work for
Veterans – focus is on patient or family problems of social adjustment related to illness or disability. Social crisis
intervention during treatment and service to patient and family is an after-care program. All modalities of social
treatment are utilized.
